Terms and Conditions of Sale

Article 1 – Scope of Application

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale apply to all sales of the Casa Travertino product range concluded by our company with its clients, both individuals and professionals, in Costa Rica and internationally.

Article 2 – Products

Our products are natural materials. Variations in color, veining, texture, or dimensions are normal and constitute intrinsic characteristics of natural stone. They cannot under any circumstances be considered grounds for return or claim.

Article 3 – Acceptance of Orders

Any order implies full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. It is deemed firm and final upon signature of the quotation and written confirmation by our company.

Article 4 – Sales Prices

Prices are quoted in United States dollars (USD), excluding taxes.

Article 5 – Payment Terms

For products in stock, full payment is required at the time of pickup or delivery.

For standard products in transit, a 30% deposit is required upon signature of the quotation to reserve the order. The remaining 70% must be paid upon delivery to the client or pickup at the warehouse.

For custom-made products, a 50% deposit is required upon signature of the quotation to initiate production. The remaining 50% is due upon delivery or pickup.

The average production and delivery time for custom-made products is eight to ten weeks.

Article 6 – Delivery and Lead Times

Goods will be available in stock in Tamarindo as of the end of November 2025.

Delivery is free of charge for any order exceeding USD 10,000 (excluding taxes) within a 50 km radius of Tamarindo.

For smaller orders, a transportation quotation will be provided depending on the destination.

Customers may also collect the goods directly from our warehouse in Tamarindo.

Delivery times may vary depending on location, product availability, and logistical constraints.

Article 7 – Use of Materials

Our company declines all liability in the event of inappropriate use, incorrect installation, or improper maintenance not in accordance with best practices. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the material is suitable for its intended use.

Article 8 – Warranty

No warranty covers alterations resulting from improper installation, inadequate maintenance, or external events such as natural disasters or accidents.

Article 9 – Returns and Refunds

No returns or refunds are accepted once the goods have been paid for and delivered. The customer is required to check the goods at the time of pickup or delivery.

Article 10 – Retention of Title

Our company retains ownership of the goods until full payment of the price, even if they have been delivered to the customer.

Article 11 – Joint Liability

In the case of sales intended for third parties through an intermediary, both the intermediary and the final buyer are jointly liable for full payment.

Article 12 – Force Majeure

Our company shall not be held liable for any delay or failure to deliver in the event of force majeure (strikes, customs blockages, bad weather, natural disasters, conflicts, etc.).

Article 13 – Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Costa Rican law. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of San José (Costa Rica).
